Hollowform project mashup final

For my hollowform project me and my partner chose three of our objects each and started brainstorming!


We then started doodling and doing some sketches of things we though of in reference to our objects!


We started with some thoughts involving ice cream cones, milkshakes, mushrooms, ect.

in the end we chose a cloud crown! in our sketches we saw that this might be a cute little dreamy candle holder.

our mashup! we added some holes and smaller gaps ontop and below the holes to try and eliminate the flat areas that the 3d printer would have a hard time gapping. we also flattened the bottom so it could stand and added some thickness to the "cloud" bowl part.

During this assignment I was brought to the full realization of how I really like to interpret remix culture. I find myself fascinated by turning an objects function on its head when the form is altered and combined with another object and its perceived function.
